At the beginning of each day, students recite the MCA Pledge. Our students challenge themselves with these words, reminding themselves of what it takes to be the best student, classmate, and friend that they can be.
MCA Pledge
Because I am a person endowed with worth and value, I pledge to work hard and think well. I will respect others and myself. I will courageously pursue what is true, do what is good, and love what is beautiful.
With this pledge, students are affirming their inherent worth and value and committing to engage whole-heartedly in their studies, knowing that they are building a foundation of wisdom and virtue. They are pledging to think well about what they are learning, to express clearly and kindly what they believe, and to incline their hearts and minds toward truth, goodness, and beauty. They are promising to conduct themselves honorably; to grant respect to others, recognizing their worth as fellow human beings; to stand courageously for the right; and to lead others to do the same.
